It is well documented that performing orotracheal intubation in combat environments is often not viable due to time constraints and because light visible from operating intubation equipment, may potentially provide easy target access to the enemy.

The CritiPack® Bougie-aided Surgical Cricothyroidotomy Kit provides access to all the equipment required to perform rapid surgical cricothyroidotomy in the field. The included bougie irradicates the need for a tracheal hook in ensuring easy placement of the tracheostomy tube, once access is gained through the cricothyroid membrane.
